Yap & Learn: Snakes and Ladders (People Edition)

$30.00

Overview

A drop-in capacity building workshop where I infodump one therapy skill, then we all yap about it.

Not all snakes have scales. Some of them text back immediately. Some of them call it love. Some of them have been in your life so long you stopped questioning how they make you feel. And not all ladders are obvious either. Sometimes a green flag is quiet or feels too "boring" because your used to chaos feeling familliar.

That's what this session is about!

Not a checklist of red flags to memorise and go looking for. Not a script that tells you to "just trust your gut" like that's easy when your gut has been gaslit (and you have IBS lol) for years. Not the version that puts all the responsibility on you to read people perfectly while ignoring why it got so hard to trust yourself in the first place.

Recognising red flags takes practice. Trusting green flags takes practice too, especially if you've spent years around people who taught you that unsafe was normal. And your body has been keeping score this whole time, even when your brain was busy making excuses for everyone. This session is about learning to listen to it.

What we'll cover:

- Red flag behaviours: the obvious ones and the ones that feel like love, loyalty, or just "how they are"

- Green flag behaviours: what safe, respectful people actually look and sound like in real life (not just in theory)

- Your body as information: what a tight chest, a loose exhale, a knot in your stomach, or suddenly feeling very small is actually telling you

- The difference between a pattern and a bad day and how to tell which one you're in

- Why this connects to your human rights - because how people treat you isn't just a vibe, it's a values and rights issue

What this workshop is NOT:

  • A session that teaches you to diagnose everyone around you

  • A list of "personality disorders" to watch out for

  • Advice to cut off everyone who ever makes you uncomfortable

  • Anything that ignores why it can be genuinely hard, and sometimes dangerous, to act on what you're seeing

Content note: We'll be talking about people who've hurt us and relationships that haven't felt safe. There will be a gentle content note at the start. Take up space, step out if needed, and the chat is open throughout.

Do I need to have done the other sessions?

Nope. This one stands completely alone. If you've done the other sessions in the series, even better as you'll start to see how it all connects.

Who is this for?

Anyone who has ever overridden a bad feeling about someone and regretted it. Anyone who keeps ending up around the same kind of people and can't figure out why. Anyone who grew up around chaos and learned to call it normal. Anyone who has ignored a red flag because it was wearing a really nice outfit. Anyone who wants to get better at knowing who is actually safe and feeling like they deserve that.
