Sliding scale fees that keep me sustainable

I use a sliding scale because the people I want to work with the most are rarely the ones with wads of cash day-drinking on yachts.

Sustainability and reliability aren't just things I help clients work toward, they're things I have to actually embody and role-model too. That includes being able to afford my own life, not just show up for yours (big sigh).

The reality is that private practice isn't cheap to run with intention. Creating a space that genuinely feels like home (not just a clinical space with fake plants and top 40 hits to muffle client sessions) costs money. So does keeping the car fuelled, the coffee flowing, and a weary social worker with her own disabilities actually resourced enough to show up well for you. I’ve been doing this for five years now and I feel like every year I get better at knowing what I need (and I hope this is the work we can do together for you too!).

Then there’s the studying. I hold two accreditations (a third on the way) and I am genuinely never not doing some form of professional development. Staying across the complexity of the work I do is an ongoing and expensive commitment, and one I take seriously. Ethical, evidence-based practice is something I highly value and work hard to maintain.

These fees reflect the real cost of doing this work sustainably, and ultimately, that is the only way I can keep doing it at all.

Financial Hardship - $120

For people on low or no income: Centrelink recipients, students, or anyone in genuine financial hardship. I hold a small number of these spots at any time if they're currently full, I'll let you know at enquiry.

Reduced Fee/Concession - $150
For people who are employed but managing costs carefully. Part-time, casual, early-career, or carrying significant expenses like debt or dependants.

Standard - $190
For people on higher incomes, those with dual household income, or clients seeking supervision or consulting services. Choosing this rate helps keep the concession spots available for people who need them.

Still unsure?
If you're not sure which tier fits, a rough guide: under $30k a year, concession. $30k–$80k, standard. $80k and above, full fee. If your situation is more complicated than a number, just reach out.

A lil note:
Prices are based on session fees for 50 minutes. Fees are reviewed annually, and any changes are communicated with plenty of notice.
